CORE RESEARCH
Advancing PRCI’s Core Research Program and enhancing the adoptability/usability of the findings.
PRCI is dedicated to ensuring the safety of the energy pipeline system. This initiative aims to facilitate knowledge sharing among members and across the broader industry. The ultimate objective is to translate research findings into actionable insights and solutions that enhance the industry’s understanding of key challenges and drive the development of effective solutions.
Research outcomes and recommendations are developed through PRCI’s core research programs, led by technical committees, or through collaborative efforts aligned with its Strategic Research Priorities (SRP).
STRATEGIC RESEARCH PRIORITIES
Strategic Research Priorities (SRPs) enable PRCI to tackle critical industry initiatives and key challenges, focusing on near-term opportunities to deliver meaningful outcomes for both the industry and the public.
By concentrating efforts and funding on addressing these pressing issues, PRCI demonstrates a clear understanding of the industry's current landscape and its pivotal role in developing solutions to enhance the safety and integrity of global pipeline systems.
Through the collaborative identification and implementation of SRPs, PRCI aims to boost efficiency and foster stronger engagement. By adopting a more strategic and intentional approach, SRPs help break down silos, encourage interdisciplinary collaboration, and drive problem-solving across various domains.
SRPs position PRCI as a leader in industry research, advancing technology and R&D to make impactful strides in pipeline safety, performance, and innovation.
Technical committees
PRCI develops research projects through its Technical Committees (TC), which consist of technical and operations experts from member companies. These committees play a vital role in guiding PRCI's research efforts, ensuring effective collaboration, identifying knowledge gaps, and avoiding redundant work.
