Guided by the theme “Advancing Our Secure Energy Future with Collaboration and Innovation,” PRCI celebrates 2024 as a year of remarkable achievements. This year has been marked by unprecedented milestones and a growing influence within the pipeline industry, underscoring the unwavering commitment of our members and PRCI’s dedication to advancing pipeline research and technology.

In 2024, PRCI achieved record-breaking member engagement, highlighted by exceptional event participation, the addition of five new operator members within a single year, and the expansion of the Emerging Fuels Institute to 26 global members. These milestones reflect our collaborative efforts to secure a sustainable energy future.

Our focus on knowledge sharing and innovation was exemplified by the launch of Professor PeRCI, an AI-powered tool providing access to our extensive knowledge repository. We introduced Research Value Summaries (RVS) to demonstrate the tangible impact of our research and delivered over 70 reports and webinars. In addition, we expanded educational resources by releasing pipeline repair courses in various formats, reinforcing our commitment to professional development.

On a strategic level, PRCI advanced key initiatives, including the formation of the Government Engagement Committee, the launch of the Emeritus Program, and significant progress in hydrogen transport guidance. We also expanded our research efforts, emphasizing knowledge transfer to benefit the broader industry while addressing the challenges of a secure energy future.

These accomplishments highlight PRCI’s mission to drive innovation, foster collaboration, and address the evolving challenges of the pipeline sector. PRCI remains steadfast in our commitment to advancing research, empowering members, and shaping a safer, more sustainable energy infrastructure.

PRCI introduced new mission and vision statements aligned with the new Strategic Goals for 2025-2027. Thoughtfully developed by the Executive Board, these statements were officially approved during the Executive Assembly meeting held in the fall.

Our Mission is to foster an international, industry-wide collaborative community that:
· Delivers innovative applied research
· Develops the means for stakeholders to leverage and implement the research
Our Vision is to be the preeminent global technical resource advancing the safety, reliability, and sustainability of energy pipeline infrastructures.
The forthcoming plan emphasizes three key goals:
· Research Excellence - Collaboratively deliver strategic solutions effectively and efficiently.
· Energy Future - Produce research to promote safe, affordable, sustainable pipeline systems.
· Global Adoption - Implement knowledge transfer that enables stakeholders to realize value.
PRCI remains dedicated to advancing the pipeline industry's standards and practices through continual collaboration and innovation. The new mission and vision statements, coupled with the strategic goals, are a testament to the organization's commitment to leading the charge towards a safer, more reliable, and sustainable future for energy pipeline infrastructure worldwide.

The knowledge and networks of members and event attendees are expanded and strengthened through the many meetings, courses, and opportunities offered through PRCI.
